Pea Ridge, Arkansas is rich with story and opportunity. While the Northwest Arkansas region is known for its fast pace of traffic, innovation, and development, Pea Ridge is a grounded place that possesses all of the positive attributes of regional growth, without the pains of frenetic pace.
The nearby Pea Ridge National Military Park is a 4,300 acre site of what is known as “The Battle that Saved Missouri for the Union,” and is a significant regional destination. The historic battlefield and the surrounding terrain defines many aspects of the physical spaces and identity of the City of Pea Ridge.
Thrive held a community design workshop with a diverse group of residents and stakeholders, and then worked with a smaller group of leaders in town to develop a new brand identity and strategy for Pea Ridge. The logo and brand applications were designed to symbolize the peaceful growth of the community as well as reference its significance in Arkansas history. The tagline, “Life’s Better On The Ridge,” is a statement that shows pride and confidence in the many things the community has to offer residents and visitors alike. While bold, it retains the down-to-earth attitude of Pea Ridge by adopting the shorthand for Pea Ridge many locals use, “The Ridge.”
